The International Folk Festival was founded in S.Angelo Romano in
1990 by Agostino Croce, President of the ?Monte Pātulo? Folkloric Group.
Today the event draws about 5 foreign groups and 6 Italian groups. The
festival takes place the first week of July in Sant?Angelo Romano, which
is situated on a hill (450 m. altitude) 25 km from Rome. The town has
approximately 3,000 inhabitants.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
Groups interested in participating in the Festival must send a clear,
recent photo and publicity material, such as a DVD or videotape (non-professional
accepted) and brochures.
1 - Board and lodging (for a maximum of 25 people) are paid by the
Festival management.
2 - Participating groups cover the cost of their own transport to and from
S.Angelo Romano (Rome, Italy).
3 - The groups are hosted in a school building.
4 - Participating groups must dance to live music. Recorded music will
not be accepted.
5 - The groups will be at the complete disposition of the Festival.
6 - During their stay at the Festival, groups can visit Rome, Tivoli, and
other local attractions.
7 - Participation in our festival requires reciprocity under similar
conditions.
8 - The management respects any opinion concerning religion and politics,
but does not allow religious or political activity in the dance area.
