T U F A G (TURKEY YALOVA TURISM FOLKLORE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT YOUTH AND SPORT CLUB ASSOCIATION)
TUFAG has been going on its staff that introducing Turkish culture in aboard successfully. TUFAG has represented Turkiye and Yalova also, TUFAG has been organizing International Folk Dance Festival since last 18 years and it has entertained 5000 guest over the festival. TUFAG has an important role to represent Turkey and Yalova. TUFAG aimed at to continue this proud staff due its name.
Folklore awareness was brought by Tufag to Yalova and it
gave good results until today. Our association’s most important aim is to
teach different districts’s folk dance and prepare folk dance teams to the
competitions. Until today, we have taught Anamur,
Adana, Artvin, Adiyaman, Akçaabat, Aydin, Bilecik, Bingöl, Bitlis, Burdur,
Bursa, Bursa-Kiliçkalkan, Dinar, Diyarbakir, Elaziğ, Eskişehir, İzmir,
Muğla(Fethiye) districts successfully and joined national and international
competitions and shows. Tufag has a price called “Gold Heart” from Channel D because of the campaign called “Keep Ece Alive” that our associate started firstly. TUFAG is organizing lots of activities at the same time with traditional International Folk Dance Festival, Gold Condition Folk Dance Competition and Festival of Yalova successfully.10-12 country’s groups join our festival each year and we entertain 550-600 participations over the festival. Now Tufag is still working at next year’s organization. During the festival arts, conferences, periodic concerts and theatre plays are implemented. Whole of these activities has shown in Baris Manco Amfi Theatre which is for 5000 people and some of the near districts. We are introducing Yalova’s and our country’s culture and natural beauties to our guests. We can have closer connection with some of the groups in our international folk dance festival. By this way, we arranged in order some of our youth’s to universities and language schools. (KIEV, North Cyprus, England etc.) Also, because of our contacts, we supplied export and work changes.

Yalova
Tourism Folklore Research and Development Association (TUFAG) has founded
8th of August in 1984. TUFAG’s aim is to organize seminar, to prepare
magazines, brochures, books, to research folklore, to study at Turkish folk
music and folk dance, to expose and develop unknown Turkish folkloric value
by cultural aim. Three times TUFAG took the first place at the Turkish
Ministry of Culture Folk Dance Competition in 1990, 2002 and 2005.
